Wow, what an experience! My husband were in the KC area for the day last Saturday and thought we would stop in for a shirt for my brother in law. Of course we had to look at bikes while we were there. Brandon showed us around and found out that I was looking to get a bigger bike than my starter 883. He asked what we were looking for and showed us the perfect bike. We did not intend on buying right away. We found a bike that was in our price range and just what we were looking for. Here it is 3 days later and Rob just brought me my new bike all the way to Kechi. He had cleaned her up and did a couple of minor adjustments and I am thrilled. I recommend Rawhide to anyone who is looking for a bike, they price them reasonable and did great on what they would give us on my trade. You must stop there anytime you are in Olathe!!!

"Really a great customer experience!"

On 2/11, my daughter and I were in the store. I was purchasing her a birthday gift (in the Parts department) and she mentioned the cost of a part (system---something with muffler or something---sorry I don't have a bike and don't know about these things), and she mentioned it was $1,400 for a new one. Hollywood immediately provided us information that what my daughter thought would be $1,400 could be purchased for $279. My daughter was elated. Hollywood took the time to take us outside to show us, and listen to, the system that was on a bike. My daughter was very excited. Because she lives in Texas, she could not purchase it and take it on the plane. However, Hollywood gave my daughter the part number and said if she could not get that price at her dealership in Texas, to call him and he would ship it to her----free. Wow, this was a great experience. Hollywood was knowledgeable, professional, and really seemd to go the extra mile to provide my daughter with the informaiton she needed. This was really a great customer experience!

This past October I was on a cross-country trip celebrating my retirement from the Marine Corps after 20 years. My '06 Road King was not running right and needed to be looked at. With 96,000 HARD miles on the bike it wasn't that surprising but was definitely not a good thing. But I did have two good things going for me- one that I brought it to Rawhide and two that my best friend lives in town. After service looked at it I was informed that it needed a lot of motor work and I had a decision to make- plug a ton of money into that bike or trade it in. It was a tough decision since I had so many fond memories of all 96,000 miles but I made the right choice and traded it in for a 2011 Road King with 1 mile on it. I want to thank Matt Chiappetta , the owner and fellow Marine, for making sure I got a great deal, Caleb, Jeff and Jaread in Service, Jerry the sales guy and former Marine for helping me find the right bike, Jeremy the parts guy and former Marine, Suzi in finance and Candy in motorclothes for all your help and kindness. You all made an otherwise stressful event turn into a really great experience. Rawhide Harley is amazing. I bought another H-D from here before it was Rawhide. The great news is that my original sales person is still there, Jerry Gentry. And Jerry is an absolutely outstanding guy to work with. Very helpful, very professional and always goes above and beyond to ensure the entire experience was awesome. Since Rawhide took over the old place, there are also plenty of new employees and I've found them ALL to be a true pleasure to work with. There are two additional people I wanted to share with everyone. First is Shawn in finance...he "finalized" the paperwork. I've been fortunate enough to buy some stuff in my day and I've yet to meet a person that made the experience as pleasant as he did. What a great guy! Lastly, I wanted to recognize Candy who works upstairs in the "H-D GEAR" section. Wow! What a tremendous pleasure to work with her! I came back there the day after I bought my 12' Dyna Wide and Candy remembered my name and then personally helped walk me through what riding glasses to get! "Final opinion is that DON'T BUY UNTIL YOU GIVE RAWHIDE A CHANCE"

After playing phone tag with 6 other HD Dealers and a visit to 3 of those stores within a 2 week period, in the last days I called upon Rawhide Harley to venture the BEST DEAL that could be had on my bike of choice. I was courteously ask if I could make a visit to Rawhide and SEE and FEEL the difference as the salesman understood that I had been doing my Due Diligence(RESEARCH) and upon arriving at Rawhide I was immediately addressed with assistance with a very knowledgeable staff! The point was made that if I wanted to buy a bike that THEY WERE GOING TO MAKE IT HAPPEN! The salesman took my information and then a sales manager joined in on the process(and not just to shake my hand and then I didn't speak with him again as was the experience I've had at other dealers) Nope I was introduced to the owner and he personally saw to my satisfaction with the DEAL! I did beat-up on these folks pretty hard with what I had learned over the 2 weeks of pursuing the BEST DEAL! They made me a better trade offer than anyone and I couldn't of felt better about the experience if I would have been shaking HANDS on the DEAL with Willie G. Davidson Himself! Been there DONE THAT! The finance manager bent over backwards for me and explained anything that I had questions about thoroughly. Then I was given THE TICKET TO RIDE EXPERIENCE... which is an introduction to all the departments and staff and then I line up of ALL EMPLOYEES to Congratulate YOU as you get to ring the LARGE Chrome Bell that has a H-D Drive Chain for a Knocker Cord. Like they say Ring It Like YOU OWN IT!!! Final opinion is that DON'T BUY UNTIL YOU GIVE RAWHIDE A CHANCE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN FOR YOU AS WELL!!! Thanks Mike, Shawn, Jerry, Don, James C. Being new to the Harley family we had little knowledge coming into the store about what was required as far as riding gear and such. I have to say being a woman and loving to shop I have NEVER had this kind of customer service in ANY location I have gone to spend money and let's face it I can spend money! Man, where to start? I chose Rawhide as I've known a couple other guys who've purchased from them. They told me that Rawhide's customer service was good, but I had no idea it was THIS good! I purchased a new bike from them last week. Not really sure which H-D would make a good one for me, I went out looking for help. It came from Paul D. Paul showed me what I think was every bike out there and answered all my questions. I don't know how many bikes he held up for me to sit on before we finally decided a Dyna Wide Glide was the one! When it came to sales I had help from Mike A. and Don D. These guys were able to get exactly where I needed to be. Suzy in finance was so great to deal with and so helpful! Thank you Suzi!!! After the deal was done, Rawhide made sure I knew exactly what I needed to know about my first Harley. They gave me a first rate tour of parts/accessories, service dept. and even Motorclothes where I was able to set my wife up with a very nice H-D tee shirt! Finally the bike was delivered by Dustin who was just as polite and helpful as the rest of the Rawhide staff. I must admit that if you can't tell by now, I was VERY impressed with the quality of service that I received at Rawhide H-D. Thank you so much everyone!

Just wanted to thank Candy & the girls for helping me find the perfect riding boot for a high- arched woman and tee. The "Maddy" lace up boot is so comfortable, even with thick socks, yet flexible enough that the top of the boot isn't digging into my arch. The inner support system doesn't require me to use my own arch inserts either. Even if you don't ride,,these are still the best boots around. Candy and the ladies make you comfortable and do not try to sell you anything unless you are 100% Happy. Thanks Girls!

Brian Miller, in the service department, did an outstanding job to make sure that the work done on my Ultra was done promptly and to absoute perfection. He explained to me what had to be done to do a proper job and then afterwards reviewed the job with me Everything that he explained beforehand was actually done ad planned so there were no suprises. After my riding buddy picked himself up a new bike I decided to go by and take a look for me a new ride. The staff at Rawhide were some of the easiest folks I have ever had the pleasure to work with. When I called back a couple of weeks later to my surprize Don remembered me and the conversation that we had had about the Street Glide. Rawhide Harley Team, I have been blessed to have been contacted by your coworkers in a way that touched my heart and the hearts of my family. Let me take a minute to explain. My father-in-law was thinking about getting my mother-in-law a Sportster. they had an appointment with Linda and they missed. They had explained that I had just had major surgery and also and have been recently diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer to make a long story short. So they had been caring for me and still are. Now Linda heard this this from Jim Campton and was touched because she let us know that she was a cancer survivor. She sent me a "Get Well" card......My breath was taken away when I had opened the card and realized that it from a cancer survivor that I had never met and she could relate to what I have and will continue to go through. The funny thing about this is that I had just acquired an 84 Electra Glide that I had fallen in love with but it needed a little bit of work. Well like a dummy, I called X Harley Davidson about getting some work done. They wouldn't give me the time of day. Too bad for them because it had dawned on me that Linda had sent that card. Why the hell would I go to a Harley Dealership that wouldn't give me the time of day? I wouldn't, When I called Linda on the phone we talked for a bit. Some personal some business. She had transferred me to service where the gentleman that was there was straight forward and to the point. He basically instead of trying to give an estimate over the phone for me to bring the bike in so they could take a closer look at it to give me a better idea of what cost I'm looking at. I thought to myself, " Sure any excuse to ride "!!!! so I have an appointment next Saturday to have the bike looked at. This experience has been AMAZING!! I then asked for the Owner of Rawhide and shared my experience with him. Your Team has truly gained a customer for life!!!! I'm by far not the richest man in the world and who cares if I ride an 84 Harley Davidson Electra Glide??? NOBODY because its a Harley and you didn't care what year it was, I was treated with massive kindness and respect. Thank you for your kindness and I am looking to doing business with you in bringing this Great American Classic Harley back to its fullest potential!!! I would like to say I had a very good experience at your dealership with one of your sales Ladies "Audra Howell". To start off I had just lost my dad Charlie12/31/10. My father was a big Harley rider and loved his Harley. So my mom wanted my father to be buried in a Harley shirt etc.. We looked every where for shirts, couldn't find them nowhere til we came to your store, Audra was the first one to help us and even though you were sold out of shirts she suggested to go get plain denim shirts and buy your patches and sew them on.. So I did and so 6-shirts and 12 patches later,and the beautiful shirt we bought for dad and the bright harley-orange scarf we also bought to drape on the casket end and a new hat everything looked wonderful. Her ideas was so amazing everyone said it all looked great! Just her help at the saddest moment in my life at the time was so great, she could have shied away because it was a difficult thing to help and understand, I even called my mom while I was there to tell her how much this girl was helping and mom was thankful because we were at our end not being able to find any thing for them to put my dad in and so we found a nice looking shirt and everything else to finish the others. Especially it being New Year's weekend and after the holiday at that. She even said she would ride for my dad if she would have been off, WHAT a great lady she is and sales person too, didn't even know my dad!! YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL EMPLOYEE!!!!!!!!! I had stopped by Rawhide last summer on the way back to Topeka from Eureka Springs, AR. I was riding a 1991 FLHTC and I happened to need a part. I was used to dealing with the Topeka Harley shop where 95% of the parts that I would need, I would have to order. Rawhide had the part in stock and I was very impressed with the dealership overall. Parts staff were knowledgeable and polite. The dealership was clean and well stocked with accessories, apparel, and best of all, BIKES! Well, the 2011 Road Glide Ultras came out and I just had to have one. Remembering how nice Rawhide Harley was, I sent an e-mail request to see if they had one. I was contacted by Jerry Gentry who was awesome to deal with. Being that Rawhide is open 7 day a week, it was easy to make it up there to look at the bike. The overall sales experience was probably one of, if not THE best purchase of a vehicle or motorcycle. I've owned 9 different motorcycles and close to 40 different cars and trucks, so I've been down this road a few times. Jerry and Randy both assisted us and they were both cool guys and did not pressure us to buy. They gave me the numbers that I asked for and were very fair on the price on my old trade-in. I picked up my new bike the next day and it was gleaming and full of gas. Jerry went over the bike and answered all of my questions. My husband and I came in to looking at an 08 Electra Glide Ultra that was listed on your web sight. We had been to another dealer in town earlier in the year and they really weren't very helpful at all, so we weren't to sure about even shopping for another bike at this time due to the poor experiance we had already had. I wanted to personally thank you for donating the piston and cylinder this summer so it could be used during some training conferences for teachers through ASM international. This teacher camp trains teachers around Kansas and the surrounding states about Material Science and gives them resources and activities to incorporate into their own classroom. The activity we do it put a piece of hair in the cylinder and observe that it does not allow the piston to fall through! It is an amazing demonstration that teaches them about measurements, and really catches peoples' attention. As a teacher, there are many activites that I want to do to help connect real life experiences in my classroom. I certainly appreciate your willingness to help me out and how easy it was to work with you. THANK YOU! I have never been in a dealership that is as friendly as Rawhide! My husband and I were on our way home from vacation and stopped at the dealership to purchase tshirts. Several people from our central Kansas HOG chapter had told us to be sure and stop in and check out the "new" store. Sean was the first person to greet us at the door. He offered his assistance, asked a few questions, and gave us ideas for purchases. Ron and I split up in a quest for our own shopping experience. We decided to go out under the tent and check out the new 2011 bikes before leaving. Ron fell in love with the Merlot Sunglo Street Glide. Joe jumped right in and got Ron hooked up with Kevin in financing, discussed his 2007 Heritage Softail trade in, and we made arrangements to return to Rawhide to pick up the bike the following weekend. We rode our bikes back on Saturday, the 21st to make the trade. Ron went to look at his new bike and the add on's and asked Joe to help me check out the bikes to see if I might find something for myself. After giving Joe my criteria of tunes, faring, hard bags that lock, security, and cruise control, he pointed out the bikes that met my "wish list". I sat on a couple of bikes and determined that the Sedona Orange FLTRX 2011 Road Glide was going to replace my 2008 Electraglide. Joe did a great job of telling me the differences in the Road Glide, had me get on the bike a few times, offered me a test ride, and got my husband in to take care of the paperwork. I want everyone to know how much we enjoyed our experiece at Rawhide. It was fair, fast, and we loved ringing that bell TWICE! Having the tour of the store with each department person explaining their wares was fantastic. Being congratulated by the associates was really exciting! Even other customers came along to tell us how much they love the bikes we chose! It was a very different ride home, two kids in a candy store couldn't be more excited than we are! Thanks for a great experience, we appreciate the effort by everyone at Rawhide to make our experience a great one.
